The Quest for the Sweet Success

Every person wants to do well in everything that they do. A lot of people are willing to do anything to be successful. However, success doesn't come easy.

We now live in the "fast lane world". The modern technology equipped us with everything high speed. There is a proliferation of fast food chains in almost every corner of the metropolis where you can have your food order in less than 5 minutes. More and more items at the grocery stores and supermarkets offer instant food, either microwaveable or add boiling water kind of thing for easy-speedy cooking. Numerous social and business establishments provide easy and good quality service in just one click. Super active people who get sick can just go to a nearby drugstore and purchase a fast acting relief medicine over the counter. The busy ones can just go shopping online and have the purchased products delivered on their doorsteps. Almost everyone wants to get things done pronto and no sweat.

A lot of us are yearning for what we desire to happen instantaneously. Several people do not consider the slow and sure method of climbing the ladder of success. It made me wonder if there really is a shortcut for success. I asked around, tried to search and look for an answer. What I got was a big "NO" for a response.

Definitely, there's no easy way to be successful in life. We still need to work hard for it, exert extra effort, do careful planning and keep learning in order to achieve that sweet success.

We dream a lot of stuff. We want to possess material things, we desire to be famous, we aspire to achieve a certain position in the corporate world, we wish for others to look up to us.

There's nothing wrong with all that. But we must understand that we have to work real hard for it. and the best way to do it is by believing in ourselves. I once read a book and highlighted a certain notion that goes like this : "You can, if you think you can". It is so true. We can only succeed in life if we have what it takes to be successful. We ought to trust ourselves enough that we can.
